Living in the mountains is not like living in the city, where there is a store around the corner and several vendors only a phone call away. You must be prepared for mountain living, and that means knowing where to go for certain services, whether for pets, home, or car.
After living in the Red Feather Lakes area for several years, I’ve compiled a list of services that would be useful for any homeowner or renter staying in the Rocky Mountains for any length of time.
Having a detailed list of services and vendors will benefit you in several ways, including:
- You won’t have to deal with the rejections of city vendors that don’t want to trek into the mountains
- You will be a part of a large neighborhood network that supports local vendors
- You will learn about the necessities for living in the mountains, especially during the different seasons
This list does not constitute an endorsement. This is for informational purposes only, and you are encouraged to independently determine if the vendors are properly licensed and insured.
